Important Update Regarding Certain Recent DC Comics Releases
Share
A number of DC Comics titles released worldwide this week were discovered to contain manufacturing defects affecting the physical print quality of the books. This issue is not specific to any one retailer and is affecting comic shops globally.
The affected titles currently confirmed by DC are:
- Absolute Batman #20
- Absolute Martian Manhunter #11
- Barbara Gordon: Breakout #1
DC have now confirmed that complimentary corrected 2nd printings of the standard “A” covers will be supplied to retailers.
What Peebles Comics & Games Will Be Doing
Customers who ordered affected standard “A” covers will still receive their original 1st print copies as normal at the regular purchase price.
Once the corrected 2nd printings arrive, we will also send one complimentary bagged-and-boarded replacement copy with your next order after stock has been received by us.
The corrected 2nd printings will feature slightly updated logo colouring so they can be clearly identified separately from the original 1st printings.
Customers Who Ordered Variant Covers
Customers who purchased affected variant editions from us will receive a 15% discount relating to those books, which will be automatically applied to your invoice.
If You Do Not Want Your Copies
If you would prefer:
- not to receive the affected 1st print copies at all, or
- not to receive the complimentary corrected 2nd printings
please contact us as soon as possible so we can update your order preferences.
Additional Publisher Updates
We are also aware that a small number of recent Image Comics releases may potentially be affected by similar manufacturing issues. At the moment we are awaiting official confirmation and guidance from the publisher before making any announcements regarding those books.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while the industry works through this unusual situation, and we’ll continue to keep customers updated as soon as further information becomes available.
